Adoptable Pets
If interested in adopting one of our available pets, you must complete our ADOPTION APPLICATION. All applications will be reviewed and considered in a timely manner. Pets are placed in the home deemed most suitable to meet that pets needs. All adoptable animals have been examined by a vet, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for internal parasites, treated for external fleas and are playing and getting socialized in a healthy, happy foster home environment. Ladybug gave birth to her 4 darling puppies and has been a great mommy. Her nursing duties are coming to an end and now it's Ladybugs turn to find her forever happiness! Ladybug has a silky soft coat and adorable button eyes that she will gaze at you with while petting her. Ladybug is playful with the other dogs in her foster home, but equally enjoys one on one time with her person.

Weight: 12 lbsQueen Arwen was trying to protect all of her kingdom, but ended up taking a detour and found herself and her newborn hobbits at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Now that her little hobbits are grown, Arwen is looking for a new adventure! She is extremely playful, loves running around with other dogs, and chewing on her toys. If given the chance, Arwen will jump right onto your lap and snuggle up with you! Arwen is a precious little elf in her foster home and is eagerly waiting for a new family.
Ginger is a stunning "not so little" Lovebug, who was rescued from the Orange County Animal Shelter after being impounded as a stray. Ginger is a bomb proof girl and has the best personality. She is young, fun and eager to please. Ginger gets along great with the small dogs in her foster home, she knows some basic commands such as sit, and down, walks well on leash, gets along great with kids, men and women alike, and is a warm bed snuggler.

Weight: 50 lbsWe rescued this gorgeous girl from the Orange County shelter, where she was underweight and had been with a family who neglected her. Sunshine is now on her way to a healthy new life. Sunshine is your typical goofy Basset and has a few best friends in her foster home. She walks well on leash, is potty trained and crate trained. Sunshine loves going on walks and has even mastered treadmill training in her foster home. Sunshines ideal family would be an adult only home who has a love for the Basset breed and has experience with a dog her size. We currently have Sunshine enrolled in training and we would like to find an owner committed to continuing with that.
Carmen was turned into the Orange County shelter by a family that could no longer care for her. When we saw her hiding in the corner of her kennel we knew it would be difficult for anyone to see what a fabulous dog she is and would do much better in the environment of a foster home. Carmen is quiet and affectionate and has done a wonderful job of adjusting to the company of her foster siblings. Carmen loves her daily walks, is playful with other dogs and is doing a great job with her new potty routine. She has a low to medium energy level and will do well in a home on the calm side or with older children and would love canine companion to hang out with.

His former owners told us that they could no longer keep him because they were moving and he had nowhere else to go. If we did not take him he probably would have ended up on the streets. Now that Maxwell is safe with us, he is loving life in his foster home. He is house trained, loves playing with other dogs, and is great with kids! Maxwell will make an amazing companion to any family that will give him all the love he needs.
This dainty little darling was spotted in the dark of night by one of our volunteers after watching someone drop her off in a random yard and run away. Thank goodness she did not have to spend any time on the run where something dangerous could happen to her. April is quite petite but would do well with a regular exercise routine and a balanced diet appropriate for a pooch her size. Her ideal weight would be 5 pounds. April is shy when meeting new people but will quickly warm up and become your little shadow. She bonds easily and wants nothing more than to be with the ones she loves. April does well with other dogs, will potty train easily and is an accomplished in the art of snuggling. She is a sweet girl who will make an amazing forever companion to a true Chihuahua lover.

After a relaxing day at the doggie spa, this pint-sized pooch is fresh as a daisy. Ellie May is a sweet little gal who wants nothing more than to be with the ones she loves. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and loves to go out on her daily walks. Ellie May is a spunky little gal who loves to romp and play and is both potty and crate trained in her foster home. We know this pocket sized princess will make an amazing companion to someone very special.
We rescued Little Miss Lucy from the Downey shelter over a year ago and she was adopted last summer. Imagine our surprise when we found her impounded at the Orange County shelter. Thank goodness Lucy is back in our care and we promised her we will make sure we find her a family who will never let her out of their sight! Lucy is a 3 year old, 12 pound, Chinese Crested Powder Puff. For those of you wondering what in the world a Powder Puff is, it is a Chinese Crested that is born with a full coat of silky soft hair. Lucy’s stunning good looks pale in comparison to her winning personality. She is a sweet, snuggly, playful best friend who would follow you to the end of the earth. Lucy gets along well with children, other dogs, loves to go for her daily walks and is completely potty trained in her foster home. We think she is one of the most special dogs we have ever met and will make a devoted lifetime companion to a very special family.

Eileen has lots of foster brothers and sisters and gets along with them very nicely. Eileen has quickly mastered her new potty routine and walks very well on leash. She absolutely LOVES her daily walks and enjoys meeting new people and other pooches along the way. Can you keep a secret? Eileen is missing one of her hind legs but she doesn't seem to notice so we won't tell her if you don't!
Our little Gingersnap ended up in the shelter after being found as a stray. Ginger has adorable ginger colored freckles on her ears and the cutest under bite ever! This happy and playful little gal is excited about life and everything in it and cannot wait to start the next chapter with her new family. Ginger does well with other dogs, loves to meet new people and enjoys her daily walks. She is both crate and potty trained in her foster home and will use potty pads indoors or go outside if given the opportunity. Ginger is a very special little girl and is patiently waiting for someone who thinks she is as amazing as we do.

Thankfully we happened to be at the right place at the right time and scooped her to safety. Lolly may be small in size, but is big in personality. This girl wiggles her bottom at everyone she meets. She is a wonderful little house guest and is on a regular diet with frequent walks to help shed the few ounces of extra weight she is carrying around.
