PENDING ADOPTION: Indy is a 6 year old 30 lb French Bulldog that was abandoned at a groomers. She clearly has been used for breeding the past and came to us with crusty skin, eyes and a few scabby spots on her back legs. She’s really thrived in her foster home and her eyes look glossy again with daily eyedrops. She did have two small masses taken off her on leg, which turned out to be mast cell tumors. The good news is our vet cleared the margins and there was no mast cells in her lymph nodes. Inday is an absolute sweetheart. She gets along with everyone she meets, dogs and humans. She also ignores kitty cats. Indy loves to carry her “baby stuffed toys” around the house. She’s a well mannered gal and is going to make a french bulldog lover very happy!

MOVING TO COLORADO ON 4/26/24: Nugget is Dixie’s sole surviving puppy. She is being bottle fed around the clock in her foster home. More details soon!

ADOPTION PENDING: Meet Theo! This tall, dark and handsome fella is a 13 week, 15 lb purebred Standard Poodle. His family needs to re-home him because they have an unexpected move coming up.

Theo came from a breeder with health tested parents. He’s a very sweet and loving boy who is well mannered in the home. In true Standard Poodle fashion, he’s proving to be one very smart boy! He loves working on his smart toys, he has mastered sit and touch, and is learning loose leash walking.

Theo gets along with new people he meets and other dogs. He has an overall calm demeanor, but will thrive being in an environment where his family can spend a little more time with him. Oh and did we mention he loves WATER?! Theo is charting at a full growth weight of between 60 – 70 lbs. He’s going to make an amazing addition for a family who has a love for the Standard Poodle breed.

PENDING MEET AND GREET, TAKING BACK UP APPLICATIONS ONLY: Finn is a super adorable puppy that we discovered in the lobby at the Riverside shelter when his adoption fell through. We couldn’t leave him behind! Finn has the cutest little face wrinkles and is very sweet and affectionate. He gets along with both cats and dogs and loves everyone he meets. We think Finn looks like a Basenji/Chi mix. We expect him to mature in the 25 lb breed range when full grown.

Our Spanish Sweeties were born in the shelter, but were quickly scooped up a few days later. Their mama Lola is a 108 lb Mastiff mix and she has the perfect temperament. Cami, Diego, Estrella, Gabriela, Josefina, Katia, Lucia and Santiago are divided between 3 foster homes so they can get more one on one attention now that they are getting older. They are all amazing puppies, and we expect them to mature in the large breed range when full grown. Puppies can join their home the weekend of February 3, 2024.

Cami, Diego, Estrella, Gabriela, Josefina, Katia, Lucia and Santiago are divided between 3 foster homes so they can get more one on one attention now that they are getting older. They are all amazing puppies, and we expect them to mature in the large breed range when full grown. Puppies can join their home the weekend of February 3, 2024.

Gabriela was rescued from the shelter with her mom and siblings when she was just days old. She has been raised in a loving home environment. Gabriela loves playing with toys and has mastered a few smart toys. She loves romping in the grass and playing with other dogs. Gabriela has a gorgeous red soft coat with the deep black muzzle. She loves people, other dogs and is very affectionate. She will do amazing in a home looking for an extra large baby to join their home. We expect her to mature in the 80 lbs plus range when full grown.

PENDING MEET AND GREET, TAKING BACK UP APPS ONLY: Baguette was rescued from the Riverside shelter after she was turned in as a stray. We are sure glad we were able to scoop her to safety. Baguette is a petite 2 year old, 11 lb Terrier/Dachshund mix. She has a long and low build, and the most adorable long brows and scruff. Baguette is pretty shy initially and just wants to be a velcro baby with her humans. She is friendly with new people she meets and allows handling, especially when high reward treats are involved. This gal is very treat motivated which will make conditional training and confidence building a breeze. She could not be any more adorable! The best type of home for Baguette would be one on the low key side secure side, kids are okay – the more love to go around the better. She loves riding in the car and going for short errands with her foster family.

PENDING MEET AND GREET, TAKING BACK UP APPS ONLY: Apple is a 1 1/2 year old 40 lb Labrador Retriever mix who was rescued from the Lancaster shelter. Apple came to us skin and bones, so we expect a healthy weight on her would be in the 45 – 50 lb range. Despite her neglect, she is a total cuddle bug. She enjoys playing with dogs her size and warmed up quickly to her French Bulldog foster sister. We think she would be fine with our without another dog in her forever home. Apple is crate trained and housebroken and she enjoys her daily walks. The ideal home for her would be one who understands that she might be a little shy initially, and that she could benefit from some confidence building. She is a sweet and sensitive gal who will make a loyal and loving companion.
